Injuring/killing this character: Yes! He can recover from both (eventually). If we've gotten to a point where yours would like to kill him permanently (e.g. by unbinding his soul), let's talk.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Perfectly fine! Mind reading makes him cranky, though; his mind is wide open but Distressing so caveat emptor if you go rummaging.

necromancy opt-in;
Generally he'll ask IC permission of someone's spirit before he does that, since it might-or-might-not result in the character in question being among the damned (a theological quandary), but if you're okay with him not doing that and just going straight to resurrection this is the place to say so!
